Hotel 81 is a major Singapore budget hotel chain.
It offers a hotel rooms at very affordable rates. On the regular hotels in Singapore would charge anything easily above $200 a room per night, you can find rooms costing in the region of $100 or less with the chain.
This explains why many budget conscious travellers like to stay in hotels of the chain when they are in Singapore.
Some of the hotels of the chain are located in the red-light district of Singapore, and you may want to avoid them. Although, to be fair, the hotels of the chain in the red light district are also pretty safe and clean. So long as you don’t travel with children there, they are quite fine.
